Beverage: Inca Kola

What is that you say? A golden kola? No way!

I didn't believe it ethier when Brian stumbled opon a can of Inca Kola at the local 88 cent store. "How can a cola be golden in color," I asked knowing fully well that I would never obtain this million dollar answer until I consumed 12 oz. of this magical liquid. However pyrite is not the same as gold. The can itself was gold in color but needed to be washed off due to days(hopefully) of neglect. The pour was light and slightly fizzy and had no bubbly head like a true cola should. The color of the fluid however, caught me by suprise. Lets put it this way... The color was not that of El Dorado or the contents of a pot at the end of a rainbow. Instead I was left with the color of a cheap looking Mountain Dew, the likes of Citrus drop and Mountain Lightning(Wal-Mart = no creativity.) Finally, the taste. Inca Cola, to me, tastes like an extremly flat cream soda, not a cola of any sort. This was let down number two. Taste and color aside, I still finished of the entire can. I have no idea why but I was somehow drawn to it. The allure of a golden cola was just to much for me in the end. Every drink I took I kept hoping that it would be different. I guess the world can't handle and never will be able to handle a truly golden cola the way it couldn't handle the new coke or pepsi clear and pepsi blue.
