RVT: Gun Store Skit

In this skit a young man (Eddie Michaels) enters into an odd pawn shop where the owner (Brian Hammons) hassles him.  He enters looking for a gun but he ends up with much more than he bargained for.

RVT or Random Visual Theatre was my friends and my answer to SNL (Saturday Night Live).  We did all kinds of skits.  It was also an acting exercise as we got to practice improv, timing, range, etc.

Jupiter Force

Jupiter Force is the first in a trilogy of films depicting the interplanetary struggle being the Jupiter Force, who police the galaxy fighting injustice, and the Digital Alliance, a group of savage villains aiming to destroy the heroic Jupiter Force.

These films were a lot of fun to make. With no budget or special effects we just ran amok in our neighborhood creating a sci-fi universe in which to create and tell stories. Clearly Star Wars and other pop culture heavily influenced us. There's also humor, be it from our comedy relief, the local drug dealing goofs Chachi and S.T. Dee, or flubbed lines on the actors' part. There's drama, betrayal, epic action-packed fights, plot twists, and great guerrilla style cinematography.

After the short film there's a collection of brief cast interviews.

"Scabs" by The Usual Suspects

The Usual Suspects were Freddy Brains and Magik Cobra (of the Waffle Mafia) and DJ Kaotic and Guillotine of Battle Tactics Crew. In the summer of 2001 these forces of underground "suck rock" and hip-hop joined forces to create the Usual Suspects. They recorded a handful of songs that have remained unreleased. This is a glimpse of a rough version of "Scabs" in the studio. Enjoy.
